Staying Alive is a specialist in the area of First Aid in education. We have a number of teachers among our trainers and currently work with half the schools in Hertfordshire. We work with schools delivering courses on your premises, helping to keep costs down. Where schools have low numbers they often work together with other local schools to create a viable group.
We offer nationally recognised
qualifications in First Aid at Work and the EYFS
Paediatric course.
The Paediatric course is the one recognised by OFSTED and DCSF for
working with young children. see FAQs
Many of the courses we deliver in
schools are shorter courses, usually the 6 hour Basic First Aid,
often to the whole staff. These
courses can be run as one session, perhaps on an INSET day, or
spread over a series of mornings, afternoons or staff meetings.
Many schools run 2 hour evening courses for parents. Some slightly longer courses for parents are part funded by Extended Schools consortia. For pupils we offer half day courses for KS2 students, as well as courses tailored to BTEC and GNVQ and other groups including Duke of Edinburgh awards.
